The hotel is housed inside a Grade II listed building with a history that dates back some 200 years. There is plenty of character and charm in the hotel, guests can expect a warm and friendly welcome. The historic, chic and very central George Hotel is close to Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street Gardens and Holyrood Palace. It has elegant rooms and a popular restaurant and bar.

In recent years the hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment programme that has ensured the historical period features have been maintained whilst also offering guests modern facilities to ensure a comfortable stay

There are a total of 249 guest bedrooms offering en-suite facilities. Guests can choose from standard and premium deluxe with a choice of single, double and twin rooms available.

The guest bedrooms offer comfortable 4 star accommodation. Room facilities include television with cable channels, telephone, radio, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron and ironing amenities, room safe and broadband internet access (chargeable) and tea and coffee making facilities. Many of the rooms offer views of the Firth of Forth or Edinburgh Castle.

There is Wi-Fi internet access available at the hotel (chargeable). There is no on site parking, but there is off site parking available with both chargeable street parking and discontinued parking available at the NCP Greenside Place.

The hotel has a choice of 9 meeting and conference suites the rooms come well equipped and can cater for up to 300 delegates. The hotel also caters for private functions and weddings with a range of packages available.
